upon arrival inspected system and found blower motor would not operate. checked capacitor it was 7.9 replaced with fresh 10 blower started but angrily. informed homeowner blower should be replaced, quote was approved replaced motor and test ran system. no further concerns post repair unit is heating adequately
Common drain for humidifier and dehumidifier clogged again Put drain treatment in the dehumidifier drain, changed the humidifier water panel and put drain treatment on the top of the water distributor panel, also put drain treatment in the drainline itself Curious the water panel was so degraded in just over a month. Suspect water quality issues being a contributing factor.
Google Nest thermostat is not properly controlling the humidifier. Confirmed proper wiring and that humidifier shuts off when furnace is powered off. This eliminates the possibility of tne wiring, or humidifier solenoid valve being the issue. Thermostat is powering humidifier when humidity is satisfied. Humidity set point of 45% and thermostat is still powering humidifier when it is reading 48%. Thermostat will need replaced. Japinder will replace the thermostat himself. Westin Air recommends Fresh Air Corps for duct work cleaning.
Hookup aid tool and inspect system for faults, found 4 high pressure 999 hot water limit and 4 system resets. Reset faults and informed homeowner of high pressure likely being sourced from dirty filters from previous owners. Inspect refrigerant pressures and loop temps loop pressure low at 5psi pumped up to 40 psi with house water. No concerns at this time humidifier clean and on filter clean.

Upon arrival, David mentioned a clicking noise coming from the furnace. Inspection shows that blower wheel blades has loosened from the center wheel. Blower wheel blades are skipping on the center wheel causing the noise. Blower wheel will need replaced. Performed cleaning portion of preventative maintenence inspection. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Replace #35 water panel in humidifier and set water flow. 20x25x4 air filter in decent condition. Check again in 1-2 months. Test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Did not check temperature rise as an accurate reading is not possible with current faulty blower wheel.
