System heat pump running but not functioning due to low refrigerant charge. Equipment was recharged with leak stop and die and 4 lb of Purpn 8-25-23 Today's visit showed instant freezing at the outdoor piston and heat mode and very low suction pressures 82 PSI. book specs for 65 outdoor and 70 indoor are closer to 130 suction pressure Cooling mode run test for recharge also indicated very low refrigerant pressures with 1.2 subcooling and 54 superheat Recharge heat pump system with 8 lb new R410A to achieve book specs of 9.5 subcooling with running cooling refrigerant pressures of 105 and 236. Cooling mode superheat 18. System has required extensive refrigerant recharges multiple times and is also beyond the normal life expectancy of a outdoor air-to-air heat pump system. The leak stop injected in 2023 did not resolve the issues and no ultraviolet dye was visible today. *Recommend budgeting for new cooling system in the very near future
American standard high efficiency variable speed multi-stage system is running in very good condition after today's service. Install replacement aprilaire 213 air filter media supplied by homeowner, replace #35 humidifier pad supplied by service truck stock, test run humidifier and set to 35%, run test two stage heating, plenum temperature 136 on high stage, resurface flame sensor and inspect ignition system, disassembled drain trap for heavy duty cleaning. Furnace operating upon arrival. Performed Furnace tune up per Westin Air metrics.Replaced 20x25x1 filter by customer. Performed combustion analysis found no traces of carbon monoxide in return air or supply air at this time. Removed high limit to inspect heat exchanger with camera. NO signs of holes or cracks at the best of my ability. Set THERMOSTAT to customer request 70°. FURNACE IS OPERATING NORMAL AND SAFE AT THIS TIME. Recommend installing a whole house humidifier to maintain humidity level in winter.
Install (2) new 03033 Ignitors for Trane RTU units Install new (12) new air filters Install (2) new blower belts Install new smoke detector model#D4120
Upon arrival, spoke with employees and they stressed concerns over the two RTU‘s outback one of them is overheating and the other one is not igniting. Both unit units need belts and filters. Belt is bx68 and filters are x2-20x20x2 x4-20x25x2 need two orders for the left and the right systems. The igniter on the left one is bad at 168 ohms. Right tested at 72. May as well order two igniters So that the right one doesn’t have the same problem in a few weeks. Will build quote for repairs on Monday when parts stores open
