Honest and fair

My heat went out on a very cold weekend. I got 3 estimates and Westin was the most accurate and least expensive. The other 2 told me I needed a whole new system for $9500- 10,5000. All I needed was a part replaced. Westin was quick to respond and very friendly. I wouldn’t consider calling anyone else in the future and I’ve already recommended them to my friends and co-workers.

Always Five Stars

Westin Air quoted and replaced the entire HVAC system in a previous home where we were tenants. They were professional, fair, thorough and timely, so when I needed work done on the AC in the home we just purchased, they were the first company I called. Seth was dispatched to our home quickly and gave me an honest assessment of the issue along with all the available repair options. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Prompt, thorough and courteous installation. They were great!

Installation was completed as scheduled. The guys were courteous, prompt and professional. They completed on time, and the quality of their work was outstanding, testing all installed components to ensure 100% functionality. They took extra time to review operations of all components with us, and answered questions. Each of them were highly respectful, and we would recommend their team any time.

Great service!

We requested a repairman to come to our house to check our furnace and water heater. They came promptly and I had a report within 2 hours. Thanks for the speed!!

Very responsive in fixing issues

When the inspector found a small (not dangerous) gas leak, a technician was out to fix it the next day. When we called because our furnace wasn't set up to use two-stage heat at installation, a technician came the same day to fix the issue.

Willing to work with you

Workers seemed like pretty good guys, always friendly. Willing to talk through the system and install with you if you had questions. If they didn't know the answer they would tell you, rather than make something up. I had a lot done to my house and it was over the holidays but I'd say they still made good time considering those conditions. Only been running my geo about a week but so far I'm pleased. Takes a lot for me to give 5 stars but they are up there.

Great Service

Seth was friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job on both furnaces. He didn't mind my asking many questions since this was our first service on these furnaces. I would definitely recommend!

Gentleman on site lead me to apartment system in crawl space with compressor out by the pool. Checked indoor unit. Air filter, air flow, and drain system is good. Inspected outdoor compressor unit. Coils are clean and there are no issues found with outdoor equipment. After doing a walk through of the apartment, there are four 4x12 vents on the first floor where most of the cool air is coming from and only two vents on the second floor, one 4x12 and one approximately 2x12 toe kick vent. Attempted to adjust the 4x12 floor vents om first floor for partially close them down to force more air upstairs. Current registers are siezed open as adjustment screw and attempting to manually move the louvers does hot work. Will need new 4x12 registers on first floor to perform air balance. Roy asked about duct cleaning. Westin Air recommends Fresh Air Corps. 614-322-3828

Diagnosed no cooling Locked up blower motor. 370 volt capacitor is below specs but not the culprit. Motor bearings are worn out causing start windings burnout. Install universal 120vac 1/5 HP direct drive indoor blower motor, new 5 uf capacitor Diagnose thermostat not turning on AC. Discovered two issues with the thermostat. 1) a heat pump thermostat is installed on a gas furnace and AC system. When the thermostat is switched to heat mode the air conditioner will run. Gas heat is now connected to emergency heat terminals until the correct thermostat is installed. 2) cooling did not turn on because this thermostat requires a Common (C) wire to function. C is now hooked up and this thermostat is running in cooling mode but should be replaced for the correct air conditioner / gas furnace style single stage thermostat. 1F78 it's the correct Emerson/White-Rodgers number. 1F79 is for heat pump & all electric

2 head mini split Mitsubishi hyperheat has a electrically burned out shorted to ground inverter compressor. Normal continuity between all three terminals but short to ground on all three terminals Outdoor unit module locks out during power up self test on LED one red two blinks indicating high current draw, after a short period of time the system lockout changed to LED one continuous lit and led #2 yellow two blinks indicating abnormality in the compressor, IPM or PFC Ultraviolet die in the refrigerant oil has been detected at the high pressure switch which was abandoned several years ago when the electrical side of the switch failed. If any compressor repairs are performed the old high pressure switch needs to be removed Recommend replacing system

2005 American Standard R-22 AC system diagnostics. Inspection of indoor systems showed that thermostat and furnace are operational on the cooling aspects. Suction side of refrigeration line is not getting cold like it should. Outdoor inspection and refrigerant measurements show that system is severely low on refrigerant. Running pressures are 30psi/0.5psi. Options for repairs would be performing a leak search. Performing a leak search does not guarantee that the leak can be found, nor that the leak is repairable if found. System would need new refrigerant added to the system if leaks could be found and repaired. Due to costs of potential repairs compared with the age of the unit, replacement of AC system is highly recommended.

Inspection and testing of unit could not recreate noise described by tenant. Test ran system in fan only and in cooling. Tested refrigerant pressures from service ports at indoor coil. Turn on and off unit in different orders to see if noise would happen. Off, then cooling on. Fan only, then cooling on, and multiple shut downs and restarts with no noise or issues found. Suspected that noise could have been fr9m blower motor going from fan only speed to cooling speed but after testing this multiple times, noise was not heard. System is operating in cooling at this time. System not coming in was possibly a 5 minute wait timer built into thermostat to protect the AC system.
