My heat went out on a very cold weekend. I got 3 estimates and Westin was the most accurate and least expensive. The other 2 told me I needed a whole new system for $9500- 10,5000. All I needed was a part replaced. Westin was quick to respond and very friendly. I wouldn’t consider calling anyone else in the future and I’ve already recommended them to my friends and co-workers.

Westin Air quoted and replaced the entire HVAC system in a previous home where we were tenants. They were professional, fair, thorough and timely, so when I needed work done on the AC in the home we just purchased, they were the first company I called. Seth was dispatched to our home quickly and gave me an honest assessment of the issue along with all the available repair options. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Installation was completed as scheduled. The guys were courteous, prompt and professional. They completed on time, and the quality of their work was outstanding, testing all installed components to ensure 100% functionality. They took extra time to review operations of all components with us, and answered questions. Each of them were highly respectful, and we would recommend their team any time.

When the inspector found a small (not dangerous) gas leak, a technician was out to fix it the next day. When we called because our furnace wasn't set up to use two-stage heat at installation, a technician came the same day to fix the issue.

Workers seemed like pretty good guys, always friendly. Willing to talk through the system and install with you if you had questions. If they didn't know the answer they would tell you, rather than make something up. I had a lot done to my house and it was over the holidays but I'd say they still made good time considering those conditions. Only been running my geo about a week but so far I'm pleased. Takes a lot for me to give 5 stars but they are up there.

Inducer motor is ready to fail any minute, this will stop the furnace from heating at all Getting 1ppm carbon monoxide off the front of the furnace and intermittently around the house on the first floor Considering age of the furnace and AC, cost of repairs required and the fact it's putting off carbon monoxide, strongly recommend system replacement. 2002 Lennox 100kbtu 21" wide 90% furnace 3" intake and exhaust solid core PVC 3.5 ton AC 15' line set 10x24 return drop (2) 8x20 supply trunks 20x25x1 Filter rack 5-conductor thermostat wire to the stat, easy to pull new wire, roughly 20' of wire
2013 Comfortmaker high efficiency furnace running in good condition. 20x25x1 air filter is new today. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor ohms. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation trap and drain lines. Run test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested good. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.
Upon arrival, system was operating with no unusual noises heard. Initial inspection of furnace shows that the collector box has started leaking and should be replaced to prevent future water damage to other components. During first fire off test, the blower and inducer motors came on with no unusual noise. After about 20 seconds, the blower motor started to make a high pitched whining noise. Noise lasted for approximately 10 seconds before going away. The noise is due to bearing failure in the motor. Blower motor is prone to fail at any moment and urgently needs replaced. System is currently operating in heat.
2018 Trane XR80 standard efficiency gas furnace running in good condition. 16x25x1 air filter in new condition. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor. Visual inspection of burners. Test blower capacitor. 7.5uf capacitor reading 5.8uf and is out of spec. Replace out of spec 7.5uf capacitor with new Turbo 200 universal capacitor. Includes 5 year parts warranty. Humming noise previously mentioned could have been caused by stress from the blower motor due to out of spec capacitor. Test ran operation in heat mode from thermostat. Temperature rise is within specs. Blower and inducer motors tested within range for Amp draw. 4" galvanized B-vent in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. System is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.
Unable to reach residence due to high snow level.
Upon arrival, the indoor unit had nothing lit up on the display, power was plugged in properly. Unplugged it, let it sit for a minute, plugged it back in. Waited for system time delays and warmup procedure. System heating normally at this time. Explained it is best to leave the temperature setting alone, don't turn the unit off at all during heating season, and if there's an issue to unplug it for a minute or two and plug it back in before calling us for a service call.

Furnace kicking out on pressure switch Jumped out the pressure switch electrically, connected manometer to pressure ports on the collector box Pressure stayed at -1.6"wc the entire time the furnace ran (this rules out clogged drain, clogged intake and exhaust pipes, heat exchanger issue, and inducer motor issue) Switch rated at -0.90"wc Calibrated a universal pressure switch to close at -0.90"wc, it opens at -0.82"wc Used correct size restrictor orifices compared to factory pressure switch Installed into furnace Furnace operating normally at this time.

Performed air balance on second and third floor to get more air into kids bedrooms. Noise heard in basement is most likely duct work expanding and contracting.
