Best customer service. Seth was thorough and efficient. He took his time to explain things about my air conditioning unit to me. I highly recommend!
I explained what happened, team was able to find and fix problem. They also took the time to educate me on my Furnace so that if another problem occurs I can help them pin point the problem, potentially saving me a service call charge. I have been using Westin for almost four years, great people, highly recommend.
Had a heat problem over the weekend. Westin team was able to help me over the phone (early on a Sunday morning no less) so I could avoid the more expensive weekend visit charge. They then came out early Monday morning to check my heat pump unit to make sure everything was working properly.
Humidifier evaporator pad in upside down. Due to design of the pad, the water was flowing off the side of the pad and not being evaporated properly, and being pulled into fan housing and is the cause of humidifier components having calcium buildup in them. Flipped humidifier pad over, test ran from thermostat. Also checked programming of thermostat with no issues seen. April air brand humidifier pads must be installed with spray paint blotch to the top.
Rewire smoke detectors for power and shutdown Pull new 18/10 wire from electrical compartment to smoke detector. Wire in 24 volt AC power connected to terminals 9 and 10 inside detector and LTB 3 & C in the electrical compartment Wire in emergency shutdown on terminals 6 and 16 connected to E Stop 1 & 2 on LTB Spade connectors After correcting and confirming all air handler connections to the smoke detector power was reapplied and the low voltage transformer breaker shorted immediately. Additional testing and investigation discovered 1) The system sensor model D4120 has failed and is causing the air handler package unit transformer to short. ****The duct detector needs replaced 2) The interconnecting white wire between The duck detector and the closest in the building room detector has been wired incorrectly. -Six wires are connected inside the duct detector on terminals 20, 15, 14, 11, 4, & 2, along with a jumper between terminal 5 & 3 and a resistor between terminal 4 & 5 -on
2022 trane YSC072 package equipment has a recently replaced smoke detector that has been miswired causing the 24 volt circuit of the air handler transformer trip the resettable circuit breaker Due to 6:30 p.m. and 20° outdoor temperature the temporary diagnosis has been completed and the heat is back on and running. Seth will prepare an estimate to rewire the internal smoke detector for power and shutdown.
Warranty call on a Daikin mini split heat pump. Error code U0, out-of refrigerant. Liquid line flare had oil residue on it. Tightened a quarter turn. Schrader was also leaking. Replaced it. Weighed in .9kg of r410a. System heating normally at this time.
I set his iwave up to clean everyday, and also reinstalled his electronic filter

Trane and American Standard propane furnace are operating properly. 20x25x4 air filters are new today supplied by homeowner. Clean flame sensors and check ignitors. Visual inspection of burners. Flush condensation traps and drain lines. Main house system humidifier is operational and in good condition. Ran test furnaces in EM-Heating mode from from thermostst to test propane heating operation. Both furnaces are operating within temperature rise specifications. Blower and inducer motors are operating within specs. Pvc flue vents in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing. No sign of duct leakage so no repairs/sealing to fix or add onto ductwork.

Install Googke Nest thermostat provided by homeowners. Disconnected outdoor temperature sensor as the Nest uses internet to tell outdoor temperature. Test ran in h3at pump heating and propane heating.
Upon arrival, system was not running. Tested in all modes and asked Carol to listen for the noise. Unable to recreate noise while on site. Tested blower motor Amp draw, and blower capacitor. Both within spec. Tested inducer motor Amp draw and it it within spec. Tested outdoor unit compressor and fan motor Amp draw. Both within spec. Tested heat pump dual run capacitor. Found that the 50/5mfd capacitor is reading 41/5. Low capacitor can cause high Amp draw and stress on the compressor, or even prevent the compressor from properly starting. Replaced 50/5mfd capacitor on heat pump and test ran in heat pump heating mode. System is properly operating with no unusual noise.
Intermittent low voltage control circuit problems are not active at this time. The thermostat was powered and at the set temperature of 72 in cooling mode upon arrival today visually end it physically inspected all control wiring at the furnace and outdoor unit. All connections appear to be secure and in good condition at this time and no burn out to a corrosion is a visible. Cycled system on and off several times through hot wires at the control board of the furnace and the thermostat call for cool. Psycho-reversing valve circuit and isolation relays for multi-staging accessory equipment. Returned original five amp fuse to the control board in the furnace and gathered information for replacement
