Upon arrival inspected furnace and found no major concerns. Inspected burners, clean but flame sensor was dirty, cleaned flame sensor and flushed drain trap it was full of rust and sediment. Inform homeowner furnace is operational and now has been cleaned, there should not be any more issues due to lack of maintenance.
2017 Trane high efficiency furnace running in great condition. Trane Clean Effects filter cleaning performed. Clean flame sensor and check ignitor ohms. Blow out condensation trap. Humidifier pad in good condition, damper opened, run test during heating mode. Run test unit in heating mode from thermostat. Delta t of 49F with supply temp of 123F, spec Delta t of 40-70F. Blower motor and inducer motor running within spec. 2" pvc flue in good condition and no sign of leaks. 0PPM CO detected during testing in basement. Unit is operating properly, efficiently and ready for Winter.
System not operating upon arrival. Discovered 60a and 30a breakers OFF at air handler.Engaged breakers and System became operational. AMP Draw on ecm blower .9a and heating elements 20.1a. Discharge air 123° with intake of 51°. CYCLED system multiple times and no issues. System is operating normal at this time.Filter 20x25x1 and like new.Contacters are burnt needs replacement single and dual in air handler.
Performed heating maintenance on a Trane 96% efficient two stage natural gas furnace Filter new Humidifier water panel good for this heating season... opened water supply valve and run tested, no leaks. Opened bypass damper and set humidity to level 5 on the automatic controller Pulled and cleaned flame sensor Blew out Condensate trap Ran combustion test. Readings within nominal range. No carbon monoxide present in supply or return air Gas 3.5 for high fire and 1.9 for low fire Temperature rise within specification range for both fire rates while the bypass damper for thr humidifier is open. Furnace operating within manufacturer's specifications at this time.

Upon arrival today the system was already reset and running in heat mode and homeowner stated her husband reset the service code but that Cody still requested a safety inspection. 1998 Lennox two stage 80% system is running in fair to good condition considering the age. Homeowners description of the service codes over the the phone were red on solid green flashing. The only combination of this description states hard lock out rollout switch. Homeowner did not reset any manual push button rollout switches to get the system running. However if the colors were reversed the code indicates primary temperature limit overheat condition. Overheating conditions are automatic reset and could possibly run with a high voltage power cycle to reset the lockout in the control board. 4-in media filter is in new condition today, system was already running upon arrival and during test run of two stages the plenum temperature reached 140 stabilized in second stage heating. 65 temperature rises on the
2001 Lenox elite series 50K BTU 2-ton Upon arrival today and initial test running since the burning smell and smoke detector incident 4 days ago. The equipment turned on encycled like expected however after 10 to 15 minutes of run time the plenum temperature reached over 150° and the equipment short cycled on the primary limit that was recently replaced by a different company in February of 2024. Deep diagnosis and run testing with adjustments concludes that the heat exchanger energy transfer rate has diminished below the minimum standards of the furnace causing over 150° high efficiency exhaust temperatures with 25 PPM carbon monoxide and substandard efficiency burn rates in the high 80% range. All indicators of a worn out heat exchanger. Blower capacitor spec 5 UF running at 3 UF. Install new turbo 200 mini oval set to 440 volts at 5 UF System two 1998 Lennox 80% gas furnace under the kitchen appears to be running in fair to good condition with no additional run testing performed
Re-secured the thermostat to the wall with drywall anchors. Thermostat displaying low battery, installed Google C wire adapter amd changed batteries. Performed heating maintenance. Changed filter. Set stage two timing to 12 minutes. Cleaned flame sensor. Flushed condensate trap. Checked collector box drain ports. Fixed a small condensate leak on the right side drain plug. Set gas pressure to 1.7" on low fire and 3.5" on high fire with the burner cover off for atmospheric reference pressure. Everything else operating within manufacturer specifications at this time.
