Arrived onsite today to be shown a small circuit that Mikey had redeviced that was tripping. On the panel end was a gfci breaker for that same circuit, but Mikey also put a gfci on that circuit in the kitchen. Not only was the breaker tripping when nothing was wrong with it, but it seemed the countertop gfci and breaker gfci were butting heads causing nuisance tripping. There were spare breakers in the panel that were new so i ended up testing and putting that circuit back onto a standard breaker, since it was already gfci protected from the kitchen, and everything held just fine. I ran several tests and that was the outcome. I also did a preformance and safety assessment and wrote up a few options for her but the resident doesn’t want to move forward with anything at this time.
