Today’s visit was for dishwasher not working. During my assessment, I saw that the dishwasher was on a dual function breaker and a standard duplex receptacle. I took the wires off of the breaker to see if the breaker was still holds with no load on it and it did not. I also took a look at the receptacle and saw that it was backstabbed rather than Lyft around the terminal. I recommended replacing the faulty breaker and the receptacle making proper terminations. Customer opted to move forward with the work. See below. Replace breaker and receptacle for dishwasher Customer also discussed with me the basement intermittently tripping. I looked at those devices as well and it was the same problem. Customer has a heavy duty refrigerator that shares the small appliance circuit where he cannot use certain appliances due to overloading. Please see attached should you choose to move forward with either option in the future.
