For today’s visit customer had a power loss issue located behind the TV in the living room and the kitchen counter top. After introducing with customer, customer advised that she did not want full performance and safety assessment as we were on a time schedule and she wanted me to focus on issues at hand for call today. I started off at the panel and saw a 1974 GE 100 amp panel with multiple rust points. Panel had rust along breakers and also along the can of the panel itself. While inspecting the first floor i saw customer did have sealed 10 year battery smoke/carbon detectors. I also began to take devices out to further inspect issue at hand and saw that the outlets were all original to the home and were beginning to fail causing todays power loss issue. The wiring was copper-clad and some devices were torqued down too tight causing breaking on the devices which led to power loss issues located on the kitchen counter top which also controlled the stove igniter.
