Reason for today’s call was kitchen circuit stopped working earlier in the week. Then started working again when she plugged her coffee pot into it a couple of days later. Everything was working when I arrived, however, I opened everything to take a look at it anyways and saw that both kitchen circuits were backstabbed on a 20 amp circuit which is highly unusual. The wires were starting to overheat and melt, and the countertop was not GFCI protected. Two out of the six receptacles were reading ground/hot reverse. To prevent having issues with the kitchen circuits again, we replaced all devices minus the GFCI she had replaced three years ago. See below for entire scope. Replace both kitchen circuits with new devices (2) interior GFCIs (4) standard duplex receptacles See also below for list of experts to repair your drywall from your plumbing issue.
