Arrived on site client stated their main was backed up and everything would come out of the downstairs bathroom tub and toilet. Upon inspection client has 3 clean outs going into the woods in the back. Opened two of the cleanouts and they were both full of water and sewage. Snaked main from the second cleanout. Found lots of toilet paper and flushable wipes on the cable. Let customer know that we will have a senior tech out to scope the line and see if there is a bigger cause for the clog.
Call Shamar’s having problems with the washer line that was discharging all over the floor alongside a basket strainer leaking in the basement
Arrived on site to perform plumbing inspection. Upon arrival client stated she had a leak at her kitchen faucet and it would drip underneath the sink. After running water I found that the faucet head was not tightened on the way on the head of the faucet and that’s where it would leak from. Tightened the faucet and it would no longer leak. All three shutoff valves do not turn by hand under the kitchen faucet along with the cold side valve underneath the hallway lav sink. Client has 2 gate valves I recommend get replaced with ball valves.
Arrived on site client stated he would like to install his customer supplied kitchen faucet. Upon inspection client has 2 shutoff valves I recommend get replaced. Hot side valve has low pressure and cold side valve doesn’t hold back any water. Client has an accordion trap under the sink and a gate valve for the hose bib I recommend get replaced. Left options to just replace faucet as well and client would not like to move forward at this time. Will credit back Visual diagnostic if client calls back to perform work.
Arrived to the home, client had recently just purchased this home and are currently moving their stuff in. There is an existing ventless gas fireplace that the client had a company come out to clean it and they stated that there is a leak. I turned the gas cock on and discovered that there is a pinhole leak in the really small, appliance sized gas flex. I advised to the client that this flex may need to be ordered due to the sizing of the flex. I provided options and client will reach out to us with their decision on what they would like to do going forward.
Drained and removed existing water heater from the home. Supplied and installed new 40 gallon short natural draft water heater. Supplied and installed new ball valve, gas valve, gas flex, copper pipe and fittings. Secured all connections and pressurized the system. Upgrade the flu from 3in to 4in by code. Turned system on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. *Permit fees are at homeowners cost. *Client is now a member. *I made client aware that prior to the inspection, there is a good chance they may need to have a chimney liner installed on the existing interior chimney prior to inspection, client is aware. I have passed off McNally Chimney contact information to the client. *Client has requested to have the permit mailed to their home.
Complete rebuild under kitchen sink, one shut off valve, customer supplied kitchen faucet, new toilet, new main shut off valve with membership Arrived to home for customer supplied faucet. Upon inspection found broken faucet and leaking drainage. Customer also had old toilet that would run if handle wasn’t jiggled after flushing. Today MyGuy supplied and installed new toilet all new drainage shut off valves customer supplied faucet and new main shut off valve and tested for leaks there are none at this time.
Removed existing dryer vent flex pipe in crawlspace. Supplied and installed new hard pipe dryer vent pipe in crawlspace to the existing termination. Attached piping using foil tape Strapped piping using drive. Secured all connections. Supplied and installed new gas cock and gas flex. Turned valves on and ran the dryer to check for leaks. Dryer is exhausting properly and there are no leaks at this time. *Hooked up washing machine as a one time curtesy. *Customer is now a member.
Arrived to the home, client states there are drain flies throughout the home, mostly in the bathroom group. When I went into the kitchen I did discover a few but not many flies near the kitchen sink. I ran the faucet to check for leaks, and there are no leaks under the kitchen sink. I next went into the only bathroom group and ran fixtures and checked for leaks to, again, no leaks are found. I flushed the toilet numerous times to check for leaks at the base and there are no visible leaks in the home that I can locate at this time. I next went into the crawlspace to check for any leaks, broken drain pipes, etc. There are no active leaks in the crawlspace and no leaks coming from any drain piping. I asked the client if they have had any weird smells recently and they stated only in the garage near the washing machine. There is an intense smell of mildew in the washing machine and drain flies are discovered there as well. From a plumbing stand point, I am not seeing any issues with water
Arrived to the home, customer states no hot water, they have tried to light it many times and nothing is firing up. The error code on the gas valve states that the gas valve has failed. The existing water heater is old and replacement is recommended. I provided options and the client would like to speak to their partner before making their decision. If customer calls back to schedule I will credit today’s diagnostic fee towards the cost of the install.
Replaced thermocouple on boiler. Toms River, NJ 08757
Arrived on site customer stated that they would like their boiler drains for there washing machine replaced. After inspecting MyGuy also noticed customer had a saddle valve right under the boiler drains, MyGuy plumbing gave customer options to rectify all issues. Customer would like to move forward with removing saddle valve and replacing boiler drains. After all work was completed MyGuy plumbing tested for leaks. At this time there are no leaks. Everything is working as should.
Arrived on site client stated she had backups recently and water would come out of the washing machine drain in the basement. Upon inspection I ran some water in the home and watched water flow pass the cleanout on the side of the home. Today we put a camera down the main sewer line and found multiple root intrusions but none as bad as the one closer to the street. Client would like to call the town to see if this is on her or if the town will take care of it. Client will call us back if the town says it’s on her.
