Hardness 6 PH 7.6 Chlorine .2ppm Arrived to the home, customer states the only toilet in their home, even though it is only two years old, runs on occasion and causing their water bill to exceed. I discovered that the fill valve is sticking and when the float rises it struggles to engage to shut off the water, also the flapper seal on the Kohler flush canister appears to be in bad shape as well. I provided options for repair or replacement. Since the toilet is still very young, client would like to have the toilet rebuilt. Supplied and installed new fill valve, supply line, and direct replacement flapper seal. Adjusted height on the float correctly. Existing shut off valve is in good shape and appears to be newer as well. Secured all my connections and turned the water back on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time.
Toilet and vanity install in Holmdel, NJ.
Arrived to the home, client states a leak from upstairs to the downstairs bathroom on the first floor. When I came in, the client stated that when they shut off the water to the toilet in the master bathroom and the leak had stopped. I discovered that the toilet had been recently rebuilt with new fill valve and flapper, but the supply line was reused and is steadily dripping from down below. The valve for the toilet is working but has a lot of corrosion due to the leak. I provided options for the client and they would like to just replace the supply line e at this time. Turned off valve to toilet. Disconnected And removed existing supply line. Supply line and installed new supply line. Secured my connection and check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. *Client is aware that MyGuy Plumbing cannot provide any warranty for other components on the toilet. Also, the valve for the toilet does work but has signs of oxidation and corrosion from the leak, if valve were to leak going f
Arrived to the home, customer states that there existing Kohler shower valve is constantly dripping water and will not stop. I diagnosed this issue as a failed shower cartridge. I provided options to the client and they would like to go through with replacement of the cartridge. Turned off water to the shower valve using the mana lock system in the basement. Disconnected trim and removed shower cartridge. Cleaned valve body of debris. Supplied and installed new Kohler shower cartridge. Secured cartridge to the shower valve. Set high limit setting and secured my connection. Turned water back on to shower valve and checked for leaks. There are no leaks at this time. Reinstalled shower trim as well.
Annual plumbing inspection completed. Hardness 3 PH 8.4 Pressure 70psi Chlorine 0ppm After through evaluation of the plumbing system, I discovered that the three valves under the kitchen sink are very hard to turn, also there is a saddle tap located above the water heater for the furnace. Client would like estimates to replace the valves. Lastly, there is an indirect drain located behind the the water heater that discharges the condensate for the ac unit and it is clogged. Provided options to and customer would like the flow to be restored. Restored flow to indirect drain using flex shaft machine. Cause of stoppage appears to be pet hair and bacteria from the ac unit. *There is no warranty for any drain cleaning.
Install lavatory spout on faucet in Holmdel, NJ
For rough inspection: Installing customer supplied shower valve. Trim to be supplied by customer and installed on the finish. We discussed different options today. If homeowner wants to pick matching trim for the lav faucet to match the shower valve it would be best to purchase it all at the same time. Shower valve must come with integral stops to meet code. If it doesn’t we will have to add ball valves in the crawl to meet code. Side note: as of now for the finish we are supplying and Installing new Am Standard Vormax , right height ,elongated in white. We may be able to obtain matching tank lever depending on what’s available and the trim selections that the homeowner goes with. Running new 2”drain line over to to new shower location. Homeowner will be tiling floor and walls. He will connect to drain as he is tiling and make final connection. 2 inch will be stubbed out of the floor and capped for testing Installing new toilet flange and connecting to drainage.
