Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up in the home. We pulled two toilets, ran a camera and a sewer machine down both of their flanges, and cleared roots out of the drain line right at the home's foundation. The customer also had a leaking 40-gallon electric Rheem water heater. So, we replaced it with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White RE340S6-1NCWW model. First, after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed a water heater pan, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater. Finally, we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
