Pride Plumbing was called out for a toilet bowl leaking at its base. After removing the toilet, we found that it had shifted on its wax seal. We removed all of the caulking, cleaned the wax seal and reset the toilet. The flange was a little high from a previous repair, so we made sure to add plenty of shims for support and leveling. After the toilet was reset and secured, we flushed it several times and there were no leaks. We locked the door on the stall and let maintenance know to reopen it the next evening so that the silicone would have time to cure. We provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new commercial model. This would include draining and pulling the old toilet, inspecting/cleaning/replacing the flange, replacing the wax seal gasket, toilet bowl, toilet bowl bolts and caps, seat, and Sloan automatic flush valve.
