This required us to 1) remove the air admittance valve, Fernco coupling, and 90-degree elbow from the vent pipe in the attic; and 2) bore through the wall, add a rubber boot sealed with caulk in the hole, and angle a new PVC pipe through the hole and up just past the roof eve.
