- Homeowner complaint is that her thermostat isn’t working properly. Found that the thermostat did not respond accurately to touch and homeowner was unable to connect thermostat to Wi-Fi or control her system through her Trane home app. - Homeowner stated that her power went out earlier in the day. - When the HVAC system and the Internet provider router lose power. The thermostat will go into a reboot mode which requires recalibration to the touchscreen. User needs to be right in front of the thermostat when it reboots and prompts user to recalibrate the touchscreen because it only gives about five seconds to recalibrate the screen before initializing and returning to home screen. - Accessed settings of the thermostat and manually rebooted thermostat to prompt for recalibration to the screen. - After calibration of the screen, system responded to touch accurately. - Assisted homeowner in setting up her network/Wi-Fi connection to thermostat and re-linked thermostat back with Trane ho
