I arrived at our clients home for a single system maintenance inspection. I began by visually inspecting the indoor attic unit. Our client provided white vinegar to be used with the Total C drain cleaner and I poured both of them down the drain line to help prevent clogging. I then proceeded outside to test and inspect the condenser unit. I found a capacitor that is testing below manufacture specifications. This is subsequently causing the compressor to have extremely high start amps. I rinsed the outdoor coils and measured the run amps they tested better once the coils were clean and the system could operate more efficiently. I showed Tamra what I had found regarding the outdoor equipment. We discussed replacing the capacitor and potentially adding a compressor saver to help reduce the high start amps on the compressor. She requested an estimate and will monitor the equipment for now. The unit is cooling properly on departure but our client is aware the capacitor may fail with risi
