Service call that the AC was not cooling. Homeowner stated the Outdoor Fan was running but not the Compressor. System was turned off upon arrival and indoor temperature was at 80 Degrees. Turned system on and found blower running and outdoor fan. Tested and found a failed Dual Capacitor on the Outdoor Unit. Replaced the Dual Capacitor and put system into operation. Measured Refrigerant Charge and Air Temperature Readings. Air Filter was clean and in good condition. Poured water through drain line to ensure the Pump was discharging properly. Measured Amp Draw on Compressor and outdoor fan. Found Outdoor Fan rated for 0.75 Amps and was running at 0.83 Amps. Due to the Capacitor failing it may have worn the Outdoor Fan Motor causing the higher amp draw. The Office will call to schedule your AC Tune Up under the new Service Membership.
