Customer has very little to no hot water: - I spoke with the customer’s plumber who is here yesterday to get her hot water back up and running - he found the pilot light out on the water heater, he re-lit it and the system got back on- before leaving the customer’s house last night. The water heater went back out and he had to light the pilot again - At arrival, I found the water heater pilot light on and the system set for very hot but the water at the sinks was just lukewarm - I cycled the dial on the water heater up and down multiple times and the water heater did fire and got the water a little bit hotter, but the main burner went down while on site - I spoke with A.O. Smith tech-support and we confirm that the gas valve for this unit is not working properly and should be replaced While on site, I smelled gas near the water heater.
