Today I arrived on site to diagnose a Daikin HeatPump system installed a closet on the the 3rd floor of the house. AC System Inspection & Repair: Identified the AC system was not working, displaying error code E58. Confirmed the AC system services the entire house. Found the EEV (Electronic Expansion Valve) disassembled from the Evaporator coil. Reinstalled the EEV onto the Evaporator coil. When I arrived at the property, the client explained to me that this system was installed not long ago. Previously a technician was checking the system for some failures related to an error code E58. Apparently the tech that verified this system did not complete the diagnosis. For some reason the tech left the EEV valve disassembled from the evap coil and left it loose inside the AHU cabin. The EEV valve is sitting on top of the evap coil. I showed and explained the situation to the client about what was found. I put the EEV valve in its place. I proceeded to restart the system.
