On 2/4/22, I had to contact Hart Home Comfort for servicing the same problem I had encountered ten day ago 1/26/22!! I was very disheartened to have to receive a text from my tenant at 1:30 am ( a cop coming home from work) to learn that he heard the same sounds emanating from cellar basement (as his bedroom is above this area) together with a smell of oil). He new that I’d be sleeping but just wanted me to be aware of this because event when I would awaken, I’d find house cold and without hot water!! In any event, first thing upon awakening I went downstairs and heard and found the same problem I did ten days ago. - I was really concerned and upset and had even relayed this to customer service representative when I placed call for servicing. My thought was does this mean I need a new oil burner?? I mean why is this happening - especially since I had to have a new oil tank installed in October/November 2019! Also, the bio degradable oil that is delivered, why goes it seem to be showing that I’m getting gunk from tank🙄😳?!! When service man came, Donald Cioffi, whom I had once before, he was very forthcoming in explaining to me why this is happening— because I told him I was extremely concerned and disappointed with the fuel seemingly causing parts to be in need of replacement—.because I told him this same thing happened ten days ago-/ he asked when I had fuel delivered -/ I told him I think January 3rd or 4 th— that’s when he said I should sit if burner before the delivery and then turn back on 30 minutes after delivery-. He said this should prevent this problem from reoccurring again-/ I mean I can’t be having this now to worry about, that parts are gonna be in need of replacing- I was just thankful and grateful to Don for taking time to explain things, and then offer a way to prevent this problem from occurring- he said I could request him whenever I’m in need if servicing- which I have done. -I’m glad this survey came up as I was thinking of putting call into VP about this situation, because this whole thing sort of bothers me especially because I got a 450 gallon tank— that’s a little over a year old, and to think that the fuel from bottom of tank could be causing this us very disconcerting— for now, I just have to much going on to discuss this problematic situation that may still occur but might be able to prevent servicing if I follow the steps suggested by Don Ciouffi— this is something that should be told the customers when they purchase and extremely expensive item that I had to purchase within the year that my husband died, and it ended up after having to contact Hart Hone for servicing because they had to replace parts, almost five days during the same week- then to be told that I need to replace my in ground 1,000 gallon tank! But for now, I’m very happy and grateful for the informative info that Don gave me…. aside from that, he’s very competent, forthcoming in expressing and explaining a problem, and, he’s also funny and good looking too!!🙏😇😊
