Pride Plumbing came out and replaced two leaking 40-gallon electric Bradford White water heaters with a new 50-gallon electric Rheem PROE50-M2-RH95 model. First, after disconnecting the two 40-gallons' electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines (capping off one set), we removed and disposed of the old water heaters. Then we installed water heater pads, the new 50-gallon water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater's connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Finally, we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit's temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
