Pride Plumbing was called out for lukewarm water from an A.O. Smith ProMax water heater. Our inspection and tests found that the unit's top thermostat needed to be reset. After resetting the thermostat, we waited a few minutes and retested the water temperature, and it was where it needed to be. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the unit with a new 40-gallon electric model. This would include removing and disposing of the old water heater; installing water heater pads, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater's water connections, a brass drain valve, connecting the unit’s electrical connections (adding a Romex connector), bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit is properly vented, and setting it to its appropriate operating temperature.
