Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 38-gallon electric American E62-40L-045DV lowboy water heater with a new 38-gallon electric Rheem PROE38-S2-RH95-B lowboy model. First, after turning off the water and disconnecting the unit's electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Finally, we turned the water back on, tested for leaks, bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
