Pride Plumbing was called out for a leaking ball-style shower valve that the customer had been trying to repair themselves. We removed all of the customer's parts and replaced them with new ones. We found that the valve's bushing threads weren’t working properly. We had to use the old bushing in order to hold the replacement parts in place. Once everything was installed, we turned the water back on and everything worked properly. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the shower valve with a new single-handle model with chrome trim (shower head, faucet valve handle and cover, downspout diverter, and overflow and drain covers). This would include cutting an access in the shower wall and replacing the valve along with short sections of its hot- and cold-water supply lines with new PEX piping and fittings.
