Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to perform the following work: 1) cut and remove a section of water pipe at a water heater; 2) install a new Powers HydroGuard tempering valve at the water heater; 3) use PEX piping and fittings to connect the hot, cold, and mixed water lines to the new tempering valve; 5) test the tempering valve for leaks and working order; and 6) adjust the tempering valve to attain 106-116 degrees of water temperature at the kitchen sink faucet and dishwasher.
