Pride Plumbing came out and cut a section out of the main drain stack and started to repair a section of pipe. Upon trying to make the repair, we noticed that the pipe was loose lower down inside the wall. We cut two access holes in the drywall to access that section of pipe. We found a Fernco coupling that was connected but not tight and that the pipe coming down from the main drain stack was too short. We removed the Fernco coupling, cut and replaced the short section of pipe with a longer piece of PVC pipe, and used two Fernco couplings to reconnect it. We then went back up and made the repair on the main drain stack. We also pulled and reset a toilet on a second-floor guest bathroom and set a second toilet in the master bathroom.
