Pride Plumbing came out and installed a new 40-gallon electric Rheem water heater. After running new PEX water lines over to the unit, we installed water heater pads, the new water heater, a thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines over to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Then we bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
