I arrived at our clients home for the unit not cooling properly. They had informed the office that the unit was frozen over both inside and out. I proceeded to test all the electrical components and found everything to be turning on if water when checking the refrigerant pressures I confirmed it was low. As a courtesy I preformed a leak search in the indoor closet unit and identified a leak in the evaporator coil. I showed my finding to our clients and we discussed equipment warranty. According to the AirHandler serial number the unit is under warranty until 5/4/2029. The Taylor’s elected to proceed with the evaporator coil replacement only. We will call the manufacturer on Monday to locate the coil and update the Taylor’s with an ETA regarding the repair. As a courtesy I did add refrigerant to the unit to get them cooling for the time being. We did also waive the dispatch fee from today’s visit. I did collect a check for $500 as a deposit for the repairs.
