I arrived to our clients home for concerns that the unit was shutting off intermittently throughout the night. I began by checking for existing alerts on the main downstairs thermostat. I found none. I went into the alert history and found multiple pages of alerts dating back until 6/23/25. The majority of the alerts were all the same DATS Trip. Our client was able to show me pictures of the same alert on a previous date which was not saved in this alert history. I am unaware as to why not all the previous alerts are saved on the thermostat and can only determine it may have to do with the thermostat capacity to store alerts. I then went into the attic and replaced the DATS sensor. Once replaced I turned the system on and it began to cool. I measure the temperature at the supply and it was pushing 53° air. The unit is cooling properly on departure. We discussed the potential to contact and coordinate a Trane tech support visit if the issue persists. Otherwise I suggested replacin
