Performed QA on Goodman Gas Furnace for the 2nd and 3rd Floor of the home. Tested system in heating mode and performed combustion testing and measured gas pressure. Adjusted gas pressure to improve combustion. Tested the wet switch safety device. Reviewed Dipswitch settings on furnace. Completed checklist form in system. Reviewed installation with homeowner and spoke to him about adding an ez trap to the upstairs system for added water protection. Emailed estimate for the EZ Trap. Also recommended having maintenance done on both the AC systems.
Returned to site with replacement dual pressure switch. Upon arrival the system was turned off at the thermostat. Turned to heat mode and went down to the furnace. Found Blower Motor running and unit was in an EE1 Pressure Switch error code. Removed leads from both switches and found one pressure switch was intermittently closing while testing continuity. Reconnected the old pressure switch and tried to replicate issue. Installed new pressure switches and cycled system. Allowed system to run and found no issues. Measured Pressure across the first switch at -1.8” WC with the switch rated for -1.27” WC. The drain switch was pulling around -1.0” WC and it is rated for -0.1” WC. Measured amperage on the inducer motor. Tested combustion and gas pressure.
Performed QA on Goodman gas furnace install. Tested system in heating mode and performed combustion testing and adjusted gas pressure. Tested the condensation pump to make sure it was discharging. Cycled system multiple times. Reviewed programming on system. Completed checklist form in system. We reinstalled the UV Light but it was not wired into the system. The Ballast for the UV Bulb has brown markings on the side. Would recommend replacement of the UV light system. Did not wire the UV light into the system.
Checked no cooling complaint, found outdoor unit not running, found no power to uni, checked for shorts, found a grounded compressor. Recommend replacing heat pump
Performed peco inspection, replaced very dirty air filter, tested electric back up heaters. Blew out condensate trap. Checked voltage, amperage and electrical connections, measured capacitor values. Started heat pump, heat pump doesn’t start, found outdoor unit locked out on high pressure. Reset lockout, started heat pump, checked refrigerant charge ok lockout must have occurred from dirty filter. Recommend having unit maintained, $189.00 per year to join maintenance plan
