Found unit turned on and was running when homeowner turned on at thermostat. She described yesterday when she went outside hearing a humming noise, but nothing running. Pulled out 25/5 capacitor and tested. Found that capacitor was bad. Also found single pole 40 amp contactor was wearing out and was pitted. Recommend replacing both capacitor and contacter. Replaced and checked r22 pressures at 66 degrees were 153/59. System is back up and working fine at time of service.

We will recover any remaining refrigerant in system. We will flush the system with nitrogen and add acid away neutralizer to system. We will disconnect, and remove compressor and install a new OEM system compressor and complete all connections. We will process the warranty for the new compressor. We will pressure test the system and evacuate the system in accordance with manufacturers specifications. We will charge the unit with new R410A refrigerant and test the system to ensure proper operation. Note: Compressor burnouts can be caused by other issues. We cannot properly test the system with the compressornot functioning. There may be an underlying cause to the failure that will be determined once the compressor is replace. There may be additional charges to get the system functioning after the compressor is replaced. Performed the above quote. System is functioning to standards at this time.

No ac . When I arrived the system was not running. The homeowner said the thermostat had power but no matter what he switched it to the system would not respond. I then checked the indoor system to find no power to the indoor system . I then went to the panel to find the breakers were off to the indoor and outdoor systems . The breakers were not tripped there were completely shut off . I looked at the thermostat and noticed that the thermostat was battery operated so if the system lost power the thermostat would still have power and work . I tested the system off and on numerous of times by power switch by furnace and by thermostat . I checked the outdoor unit low and high voltage readings and wiring. They were fine . The homeowner did tell me that he had a power surge some weeks back . I explained to the homeowner that If the problem persists I would say that the board is intermittent and not calling at times . But from what I see now the system is running to standards with a temperat
