I/W Upon arrival spoke with customer. Customer system is giving error of E04 indicating that high limit has tripped. Checked high limit switch: meter was reading OL open line/ open limit. Remove limit from furnace. Checked continuity on all other resettable limit. Checked control board. Check terminal- voltage is correct. Furnace will fire and run before tripping out on safety. Fan motor is not engaging to run. Checked that blower motor is getting 120 volts. Tried to jump R and G @ control board. Fan would not engage. Spoke with Trane technical support: did a series of troubleshooting @ furnace. Jumped out terminal for fan motor, checked that voltage is going to motor before concluding that blower motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
