I confirmed that the zone damper motor in the attic was bad and not closing the damper with a coal and making a grinding noise * Shut power to the system * Disconnected electrical wiring from existing zone damper motor and remove zone damper motor from damper shaft * Installed and secured brand new zone damper motor onto zone damper shaft, and secure to ductwork * Wire in and secure low voltage connections to new zone damper motor * Secure insulation all back around the zone damper motor * Return power to the system and test operations * Cycle heat on and off, confirming that the zone damper is opening and closing with demand call from the thermostat * Have the
