The reason for todays visit with customer was a quote on installation of a wall mounted heater/control panel for customers sauna. After meeting customer i was then showed panel location in basement where i saw two 200 amp BR panels installed 2017. Each panel has arc faults and combo breakers installed correctly dating to current code at that time of install. Customers home did have newer style smoke/carbon detectors and all outlets/devices were correct and had no issues at this time. After going over the findings with the customer on exactly how he would like the unit installed this is what my recommendation were: Recommended on 6/3 60 amp new circuit for outdoor rated sub panel located on the back of the home for the sauna. With new sub panel being installed, running two new dedicated circuits for control panel heater and lighting circuit all mounted outside of sauna. Wires would be fed from sub panel via liquid tite conduit. At this time customer will be thinking it over.
