Original call was a power loss in the kitchen and laundry area. Once on site we determined that the dryer was not working as well as a gfci in the kitchen area. The dryer breaker and receptacle both had proper voltage, 240V. After speaking further with customer, it sounded like a power surge had occurred. We then addressed and repaired the gfci in kitchen with a new device as well as alleviating the double tapped neutral wires in the main panel. We highly recommend that a whole home surge protector be installed at the main panel. Dryer was able to work again once disconnected from its power source and reconnected.
