Reason for today’s visit was to assess remediation of aluminum wire in the home. When I arrived to home, customer stated that she already had an electrician out last week to repair a damage or receptacle due to aluminum wiring. They had already provided an estimate to remedy all the receptacles in the home. I began my assessment by opening up several different devices throughout the home and found that much of the home had already been rewired and all the devices had been replaced within the past few years. The panel has already been replaced and arc fault breakers installed on all branch circuits. Although home runs throughout the home have also been replaced with copper wiring. what I found was a total of 26 receptacles, 12 single pole switches, one three-way switch, six lights, one junction box and one GFCI.
