I performed cooling maintenance today on a Carrier system. Upon arrival, the system was fully operational. I proceeded to test all electrical, mechanical and safety systems. All electrical components tested in the ranges, including the compressor with no signs of damage. I cleaned the outdoor coil and verified that the air filter was still clean. Filter size: 20x25x5 Merv 16 The system has a high static pressure (air stream blood pressure) which can lead to premature blower motor failure. The main cause of high static pressure is ductwork.
