On the hottest day of the year my AC stopped working. Called Moon’s emergency services and they had a technician, Clay, call me back within minutes. Clay cake out the next morning to assess the problem. He found that there was a faulty part and had the replacement on his truck. He replaced the part and had the AC up and running within several minutes. Clay was very knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. Will definitely use Moon’s services again!

Furnace cleaning: heat rise was 59. Air filter system was dirty so I changed out with customers extras. Air movement system was clean and clear of all debris and signs of concern. All wiring was clean and secure. Flame sensor system was clean and clear of all debris. Indoor voltage enhancement system was running at 11.7uf. Factory spec is a 12.5uf so I informed the customer and I’m giving them an estimate. Flame gateway system was clean and clear of all debris and signs of concern. Cleaned off inside and outside of indoor unit. System was up and running at normal operation at the end of the visit.

Club Furnace Rejuvenation: supply temp is 112 with a return of 65. Heat rise is 47 degrees. Changed filter out with customer supplied air filter. Air movement system is dirty. Brushed off air circulation system. Electrical connections are tight. Air circulation system Voltage enhancement system has a factory spec of 12.5 uf and reads 12mfd and is within allowable fault. Exaust voltage enhancement system has a factory spec of 6uf and reads 5.6 mfd and is within allowable fault. Cleaned combustion burners system. Cleaned flame safety system. Igntion system is reading 51 ohms and is within factory spec range. Checked heat exchanger with HD camera and found no areas of concern. Air circulation system is reading 3.1 amps. All systems running well at this time.
Club service AC changed customer supply air filter delta T 16 deggrees compressor RLA fa tory spec 13.5 actual 5.9 outdoor fan FLA factory spec 1.1 actual .73 voltage enhancement system factory tory spec 35+5 actual 34.94 and 5.04 operation normal at this time.
No A/C, checked system and found that the indoor wall control had failed, installed replacement and test ran, operation normal at this time.
Preformed inspection on the furnace as well as the ac unit. Did not find anything alarming with either of the systems.took a heat rise and a delta t , both fell within the factory specs of the systems.
Delta t of 19 degrees return 75 supply 56. Filter has been changed. Blower wheel is clean. Voltage enhancement system factory spec of 35/5. Voltage enhancement reading 35/5 fan amp reading .7, voltage enhancement system amp reading 5.
Groupon inspection. Supply temp 97 degree return temp approximately 65 degrees, total delta 32 degrees. Draft motor amps 2.3. Blower motor amps 6.2. Burners looggood. Could not gain. Access to flame sensing system but looks fine. Checked all tubing, eletrical connections and tighten all screws. Inspected heat exchanger found no areas of concern. Changed gas pressure from 3.4 to 3.5 w.c. checked filter it was recently changed.ac getting a 48 degree supply temp with a 70 degree return. Total delta t 22 degrees.voltage enhancement system for outdoor unit read within factory spec contactor has no pitting. operation normal at this time

Outdoor unit voltage enhancement system read 4.9/30 with a factory setting of 5/35 and is below the allowable fault. The FLA was 0.6 with a factory setting of 1.1. The RLA was 3.8 with a factory setting of 13.5. Coil and exterior look good, cleaned exterior. Checked disconnect for safety and system normal operation at this time. Performed warranty repair band aid, 10 years parts see photo for details on amana warranty. New RLA is 4.8. Indoor supply is 52 and the return is 70 with an 18 delta. The voltage enhancement system read 12.05 with a factory setting of 12.5 and is within allowable fault. Cleaned coil and pan, replaced pan treatment with new one. Blower wheel looks ok, spins without restriction and the bearing is tight. Replaced air filter customer supplied due to excessive dog hair. Recommend they check filter every month.
