Heat Pump Repair: A customer's heat pump faced defrosting issues, leading to decreased heating efficiency. Diagnosing a malfunctioning defrost sensor, we replaced the sensor and fine-tuned the heat pump for efficient operation. The client now experiences comfortable heating, and we advised regular heat pump maintenance to prevent recurring issues.
Indoor unit has a supply of 136 and a 76 return with a 60 heat rise. Static pressure supply is 0.2 and return is -0.26. Exhaust removal amps read 1.0 with an FLA of 1.2. Blower wheel dirty, cleaned it. Blower wheel voltage enhancement system read 7.4 with a factory setting of 7.5 and is within allowable fault. Blower spins without restriction and the bearing is tight. Board looks good. Cleaned flame sensing system, burners look good. Blower amps read 5.8. Heat exchanger looks good, system normal operation at this time. Filter a little dirty, recommend they change at end of November. Added duct cleaning quote, estimate adds all options together. Compressor locked out and system will not run on a 11-15 Year Old RUUD with R-22 (HVAC IAQ) Air duct cleaning service and an air purifier would greatly enhance this home's air quality.
