We can't say enough great things about our experience with Cody B! He recently completed a big 4 day project at our house and truly went above and beyond. From start to finish, he was hardworking, incredibly nice, and always made sure to check in and communicate clearly every step of the way. He was fair with pricing, super knowledgeable, and you could tell he genuinely cared about doing the job right and looking out for us. It's rare to find someone who combines professionalism with that level of care and integrity — but he’s the real deal. If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and treats your home like it’s their own, this is your guy. Can’t recommend him enough. He’s the man!

Needed to replace old outdoor faucet suddenly and Matthew from Chen plumbing did it along with another copper pipe repair quickly and professionally. My only regret is that he couldn’t replace the drywall nor recommend a company to do so.

We had water leaking from our front yard after a freeze. We expected a big price tag and lot of digging in the yard (maybe after it thawed a few days later). We were very pleased that Juan opted to do a full investigation of our pipes as they entered and exited the house and meter. He found an old unused irrigation line and checked that without any digging! The problem was solved in an hour, he capped it to prevent further issues, and the cost was a fifth of what we feared. We were very grateful and impressed by his professionalism. The company themselves were responsive, understood the urgency, and were easy to schedule with. They even sent a picture of the technician coming out so we felt secure when he arrived.

Dawson was very knowledgeable and professional. Outside of the work he and Chen Plumbing completed, we also discussed various future projects I want done and pros and cons of different options. Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

Today we did a full water service line replacement from water meter up to the home and into the crawlspace with new pressure reducing valve and new whole home water shutoff. Ran new line in a roll of 3/4” type L soft copper piping and added a ball valve shutoff at the water meter for homeowner. Backfilled to grade as best we could. Full water service replacement has 5 yr warranty. We also installed the 2 new shower valves in the upstairs bathrooms that we previously purchased last week. Once tile is done, we can come back and install the trim for the valves. Shower head, cover plate and screws and tub spout. Turned water back on, no leaks. Also, while reliable was doing their thing, they found a 3” pvc stack pipe that had screws in it, like the Sheetrock guys years ago thought they had a stud, but in fact had a pvc pipe. Cut out that section and reconnected it to our other new drain work in garage. Pulled basement bathroom toilet and assessed the flange. The flange was low, and
Customer had customer provided kitchen faucet needing to be installed. While beginning installed noticed that the cold stop for the kitchen faucet was not functioning properly and suggested to replaced shut off water to house replaced stop then proceeded to replace kitchen faucet after install installation checked for leaks and proper function. Pressure was good.
Customer had a hose bib buried in the front courtyard that is leaking. Informed customer that the hose bib can’t be replaced exactly how it is due to freeze potential as well as being a low visibility hose bib that can take physical damage more easily. Left quote for a yard hydrant install. No dispatch fee.
Replaced two toilets with customer supplied, replaced a toilet flange for lead pipe in master bathroom
Came out today to perform the full drain repipe for the fixtures on right side of home on 2nd story which were the master bathroom, hall bathroom, and the laundry and vent that goes through the roof. We did this work due to the entire system having back fall, causing the drains to hold water and cause backups, which caused some water damage to the home. Cut old piping out and replaced with all new pvc piping and fittings that are properly pitched so everything flows like it should, downhill. Got good bit of drains replaced but will need to be back here Monday to finish the drain work and demo both the hall bathroom tub/shower tile surround and the master bath shower tile surround in order to replace the drain pipes for them. We will then replace the hall bath tub with new fiberglass, and client will have master bath shower redone in tile by tile guys. Collected 1/2 of original invoice, and have to get quote together for the additional tile demo and tub replacement.
Was called out today due to a sewage backup in the upstairs part of the home, that caused some damage. We ran drain machine and could get some relief but not much. Checked the drain pipes for proper pitch and every bit of the drain work for those two bathrooms is back pitched, causing these issues. We will return Friday to begin the drain repipe and finish setting the 2 toilets from today with the bidet seat when client gets it.
Client called us out due to their 40 gal nat gas water heater in garage leaking. It was from 2008. We replaced the water heater with new 50 gal Rheem pro series nat gas water heater, installed up to code with new pan, gas flex, ball valve shutoff, and properly supported expansion tank per code. Also, the homes pressure reducing valve in the crawl space had failed allowing 120 psi into home. We corrected that by replacing the failed pressure regulator with new watts 25aub and also new ball valve shutoff. Water heater has 6 yr manufacturer warranty and 2 yr parts and labor Pressure reducing valve 1 yr parts and labor
Customer stated that there was a leak coming from bathroom upstairs under lavatory faucet. Found that leak was coming from service stop valves. Tested pressure to home and pressure was above 80 psi. Will send customer estimate for recommended plumbing repairs.
Quoted water line and sewer line replacement today
Customer stated that in master bathroom shower temperature wasn’t adjusting properly. Took a look and recommended a customer to buy new shower panel because if we start taking apart existing shower panel, it may break and process due to rust. Also checked pressure to home and pressure was above 80 psi. Attempted to adjust PRV blood pressure was still above 80. Recommended to have a new PRV installed and will send quote to do so.
Cut open drywall. Ran water from every fixture upstairs. Were able to recreate the leak by running water down the overflow tub. Replaced overflow gasket and tested to ensure a leak free install.
Customer stated that there was brown water around the base of the toilet. Stated to customer that wax ring or flange may have an issue. Flush toilet a few times and noticed a little bit of water coming from base. Recommended customer have toilet, pulled, and reset. Pool, toilet and installed new waxing and bolts. Reset toilet and tested. No leaks were present at this time caulked around base of toilet. Also noticed tank to bowl gasket was leaking at some point, but didn’t notice any leaking at this time. Recommended to customer to have new toilet installed if tank tub bowl gasket leaks. Cleaned up work area.
Upon arrival customer stated there was a main water line leak. I dug and found it was a galvanized pipe. I informed the customer we can not repair the line and that we would have to replace it. Gave customer estimate. Customer approved estimate. I dug two holes one at the meter and on at the home. Then I trenched the two holes together and ran the new pipe. I also made a new stub out and sealed the new hole and connected the new line to the existing one in the home. I also installed a ball valve and meter box. I tested the system and system is working properly with no leaks or issues. Then I backfilled the holes and checked the pressure to the home. I found that the Prv is fluctuating when one or more fixture is turned on in the home. I informed the customer that the PRV is not supposed to do that and left him with two estimates to either replace the PRV and the whole house, shut off or just the PRV.
Installed customer supplied single handle shower and tub valve roughed into dimensions customer wanted, as well as replaced small section of copper line that was in the way, thoroughly tested all work. Warranty only applies on Chen plumbing parts and labor.
Customer state that she haven’t heard her sewage ejector pump running in a while. I checked the pump operation. Everything work fine. They have a quiet check valve which reduced the noise by a lot.
