The Best!

We can't say enough great things about our experience with Cody B! He recently completed a big 4 day project at our house and truly went above and beyond. From start to finish, he was hardworking, incredibly nice, and always made sure to check in and communicate clearly every step of the way. He was fair with pricing, super knowledgeable, and you could tell he genuinely cared about doing the job right and looking out for us. It's rare to find someone who combines professionalism with that level of care and integrity — but he’s the real deal. If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and treats your home like it’s their own, this is your guy. Can’t recommend him enough. He’s the man!

Necessary but professionally done job

Needed to replace old outdoor faucet suddenly and Matthew from Chen plumbing did it along with another copper pipe repair quickly and professionally. My only regret is that he couldn’t replace the drywall nor recommend a company to do so.

Juan Diaz saved time and money!

We had water leaking from our front yard after a freeze. We expected a big price tag and lot of digging in the yard (maybe after it thawed a few days later). We were very pleased that Juan opted to do a full investigation of our pipes as they entered and exited the house and meter. He found an old unused irrigation line and checked that without any digging! The problem was solved in an hour, he capped it to prevent further issues, and the cost was a fifth of what we feared. We were very grateful and impressed by his professionalism. The company themselves were responsive, understood the urgency, and were easy to schedule with. They even sent a picture of the technician coming out so we felt secure when he arrived.

Solved the problem quickly

It was a simple solution to a puzzling problem where no water was coming out of the shower. He figured it out quickly and got everything working in no time flat.

Found hot side angle stop on right hand lavatory in the master bath was leaking from the packing nut. valve appeared to be original to the home. found left-hand side sink in hall bathroom had a pop-up assembly that was stuck. homeowner wanted to replace both so they would match that. found a toilet in the basement was rocking and leaking from the tank to bowl seal. spoke with homeowner and let him know It was going to be a cheaper option to replace the toilet vs repairing the 10-year-old toilet that was currently in place. found pressure regulator in the basement was showing signs of a leak. main shut off for the home was a gate valve. gave homeowner price to replace the pressure regulator with new quarter turn ball valve, a new toilet in the basement, Replace both pop-up assemblies and upstairs hall bath, and replace the hot side angle stop on the right hand master bath lavatory. homeowner approved estimate. Performed all work with no leaks or failures at time of service.

Upon arrival customer stated the garbage disposal was making loud noise. Tested the garbage disposal and it was making a loud noise. Informed the customer that I can try to see if it is jammed but it most likely will need to be replaced. Gave customer estimate to unjam the garbage disposal. Customer approved estimate. I tried unjamming it and it did no fix the noise so I informed the customer we would have to replace it. Gave customer estimate to replace garbage disposal. Customer approved estimate. Took out old garbage disposal and installed a new garbage disposal. Tested system and system is working properly with no leaks or issues.

Found a pinhole on copper line at the main water supply to the house before the pressure regulator in the basement. gave homeowner price to repair line. Homeowner agreed. Homeowner had access in another room to access the main in the ceiling. Cut damaged waterline out. Replaced with pex. tested with no leaks or failures at repair at time of service. Educated homeowner about pinholes in Copper waterlines. Advised homeowner to just monitor the rest of the home for any signs of other leaks due to the deteriorating copper. The copper I was able to visually assess in the basement did not look heavily damaged. Homeowner does have a water softening system installed.

Customer stated that there was a leak coming from the ceiling. Found that there was a small drip coming from solder joint. Shut water off to home a drained down system. Cut out section of 3/4 in copper pipe and replaced. Turned water back on and tested. No leaks. Cleaned up work area.

Customer had been told that her water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Upon inspection, found no signs of the heater leaking. Informed customer of this and made customer aware that while the heater isn’t leaking, it is nearing the point of proactive replacement. The manufacturer date was January 2016 and heaters have an average lifespan of 8-12 years. Customer opted to move forward with the proactive replacement. Installed a new 50 gallon gas heater with a new pan and thermal expansion tank. Reconnected to the existing gas, water, and vent lines. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks. Found no leaks on the water lines, and the vent lines were working properly. Found a gas leak from a bad flare connection on the gas line going to the water heater. Reflated the connection as a courtesy to the customer and left a quote to replace the soft copper line with trac pipe. Tested after flaring the connection again and found no additional signs of leaking. Left a quo

Shut down water to home at meter. Existing main shut off for home in basement area is post pressure reducing valve. Drain down potable water system and cut out main gate valve and three-quarter inch PRV. Replace in proper order with new three-quarter inch pro press ball valve before pressure reducing valve. Install Moen flow three-quarter inch on system as well. Pressurize system slowly and test for leaks. Chen plumbing is not responsible for wireless set up of flow by moen.

Customer stated they wanted new water line. Landscapers ran new line and required us to tie in at the meter and inside home. Connected water line at the meter and to irrigation. Inside home we connected new water line to existing line. Turned on water and tested for leaks under pressure. Bleed air out of system as best we can. No leaks were present at this time. Used hydraulic cement around penetration hole. Cleaned up work area.
