Shut down water to home and gas to water heater. Drain down portable water system and 40 gallon gas water heater. Once drained detach all lines and remove. Place new 50 gallon gas water heater in pan. Install new three-quarter inch progress ball valve and furnishing install 2.5 gallon thermal expansion tank. Secure to wall. Make all necessary connections and pressurize system slowly. Bleed out all air from new water heater before lighting.
Customer had washing machine backing up into home. Replaced the washing machine box, Ptrap, and horizontal pipe going to cast tee. Reconnected with new washing machine supplies and tested work to ensure it’s draining properly. Noted to customer buildup in the tee that it tied into. Did a cleaning with the mini flex shaft to open it up. There’s a 90 day workmanship warranty in all pipe connections done, made customer aware there’s no warranty or guarantee to cover the pipe backing up since it goes into slab with cast pipe.
Customer stated that kitchen drain wasn’t draining properly. Will send customer multiple option to have drain line replaced or blockage cleared. Also found section of cast iron that appeared to be leaking.
Upon arrival customer stated that they were having issues with water pressure and especially when hot water turned on and also have two toilets running. Checked water pressure to the house and had helper turn on faucets in the house and the pressure kept decreasing. Gave customer estimate to replace the flappers in the toilets and PRV. Customer approved estimate. Installed new flappers and PRV. All of those systems working properly. Also Left water heater estimate with customer.
For this job, we worked on clearing main drain line through clean out. Roots are in the drain line will have to get dug up and repaired.
Customer complaint was After using tub and letting water drain, toilets would gurgle, customer said daughter had one toy fall into drain was concerned this was causing issue however, customer said toilets would gargle after A few minutes, recommended to customer to Camera mainline to confirm no issues were on mainline causing issues, Filled up tub multiple times and ran water down cannot re-create issue, also found pressure drop more than 40 psi recommended replacing PRV that is starting to fail. Customer approved. Replaced PRV, slowly, pressurized line, bled all air and debris to the best of our ability. Attached invoice are photos of regular pressure drop with new PRV Also a video of camera inspection (While doing rest of evaluation on plumbing system, found code violations. On water heater Inform customer of violations found, did not want to proceed at this time with replacement. For this job, we worked on replacing hose bib and shut off valve.
We cleared main line blockage from clean out in basement, including camera inspection, old cast iron plumbing with clay sewer line in the yard .
Returned to install new water service. Ran new water service with adding a ball valve inside of a meter box next to meter. Also had to drill a new Stubout for water service. Made all connections. Tested system, system is working with no leaks and meter is reading 0.00 which indicates no leaks. CUSTOMER FINANCED JOB
Jetting and camera work for main line blockage , major roots problem near a big tree
Water service like upon arrival. Customer stated their bill jumped up a little over double customer, informed customer we could dig up the meter to see what kind of piping is in the ground. After digging up meter found 1 inch PVC line in the ground, found male adapter that connects to meter broken and leaking water out on the backside of the wall. After we dug there was water coming out once we turn the water on. Informed customer, he has two different breaks in the line gave customer estimate to do spot repair on meter break. Then gave customer estimate after noticing second leak to replace water service. customer stated he needed to talk with his wife before decision.

Used sewer machine to unclog main line, Camera afterwards found major root infiltration downline about 80 feet, 98% of pipe was covered in roots, inform customer the next logical step would be to jet however, this would not guarantee roots from ever returning again, Inform customer that permanent solution is to replace sewer line going out to street. Customer wants to move forward with jetting Used Jetter to cut out root Infiltration, while we jet will use Camera to confirm roots are cut out. Cut most of the roots out however, some roots still are in pipe and informed customer they understand this is not a permanent solution. Due to the Inherent risk and Age of pipe we cannot guarantee no damage will occur to pipe. We have no responsibility if pipe gets damaged incurring more work.
