Jim Plumbing has a good system of communication before and after appointments. Our technician Simeon communicated really well about what the problem was, collaborated on possible problem source & solutions. Still Don’t like flat rates that have no connection to actual time and material, but unfortunately, that’s industry standard today

Started a customer that the starting point will be is to run snake from cleanout in backyard and customer agreed. Went ahead and ran snake and cleared stoppage. Afterwards ran camera. Found lots of grease buildup in line and attempted to flush out as much grease as I can with water hose. Kitchen sink is now draining fine but did recommend to customer have jetted because grease buildup on sides of pipe. Will send estimate to do so. Cleaned up work area. Chen plumbing doesn’t warranty drain cleaning.

Customer has a property with no existing home that needed a camera inspection to locate any possible sewer lines from the old home. Opened manhole lid in street in front of property and saw a line that goes that direction. Camera inspections for manholes that deep require proper PPE. Customer declined work at this time and left the estimate to return if necessary.
Customer has water coming from underneath tub. Cut wall behind tub and visibly spotted water. Gave estimates for repair/replace options.

Homeowner states that he noticed water leaking from the water line in the front yard and called us out to attempt to fix the issue. Homeowner greeted me in front of driveway and I could see the water mark in driveway and I turned on the meter to try and locate the leak. It took a few minutes for the water show up but couldn’t locate one area where the leak could be visible. I dig up the area near the home but no leak or pipe was located. Explained to homeowner that he is losing 6-7 gallons of water a min and there may be the possibility of two separate leaks. Attempted to communicate to homeowner that he needs leak detection or just replace the entire main water line. He wants to think it over and will let us know what they decide to do.
