Responded quickly to plugged drain. Keep me abreast of what the problem was and gave me an upfront estimate. I would use them again.
The service Tim Chen provided was outstanding. He was very professional, polite and answered all my questions and concerns. I am 100% satisfied with his service and I recommend Chen Plumbing to anybody that needs plumbing services.
Chen Plumbing was incredibly professional from start to finish. From my first call, to updates about service time, and to Braulio taking care of us. Our issue was resolved quickly and the work is high quality. I’ll be using them again for any future plumbing needs without hesitation.
Two brothers came out and tag teamed our plumbing issues over a period of a couple of days. Both very pleasant and highly competent. Definitely would use them again.
They have good client communication. Before they started, they went over all the details
I had three visits from Chen Plumbing. Cody was the first plumber to come over, and Dawson and an assistant came back for the second and third visits. We had to diagnose and fix an underground leak before our insurance would approve the work. Once the repair was approved, Dawson and the assistant returned to complete the job. Both of them were incredibly professional and left our home in better condition than when they arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by how they managed to keep our place clean during their visit, considering the repair was done under our kitchen floor. I am truly grateful to both of them, and they definitely deserve a raise!
The best I have encountered! Thorough, knowledgeable, methodical, honest, polite.
Chen plumbing was very responsive and the technician did an outstanding job solving my toilet issues. A sold 5 star and wiĺl use them again!
Replaced 50 gallon water heater. At the customers request, replace a diverter valve on a Delta single handle valve. Upon completion, thoroughly tested and inspected all installations to ensure proper operation. All work was verified to be leak free and performed a professional standards.
Client called us out due to them buying a new stove, and the installers refusing to install it because of the improper gas line coming through the floor. The line was a flex line, and if it penetrates a wall or floor, it must be hard piped. There was a block wall directly below which is why the previous guy did what they did. We chipped out a small portion of the block wall in the crawlspace, then reworked the gas line from the old flex tie in, just below the floor up to just above the floor with a new gas shutoff and gas flex line per code. Turned gas back on and tested, no leaks. 1 yr parts and labor warranty.
Homeowner states that she recently had water restoration in her home and they found and shut off a leaking ice maker shut off that wasn’t properly shut off and caused water damage. When I arrived homeowner greeted and showed me the damage the leak had done and wanted to know if that was the only cause I did my inspection and found that the pressure was high but couldn’t find any leaks from the ice maker currently and recommended replacing the PRV as a priority which homeowner agreed. I shut off the main water meter and drained the home and removed the old shut off along with the old PRV. Once I removed it I repiped the area to accommodate the new PRV along with a new ball valve. Once installed I pressed it together and turned the water back on and checked for leaks or issues. No leaks or issues were found and the pressure is under control at 60 psi. Homeowners are satisfied with the service provided and will call at a later time to have the ice maker updated and a new single handle tub
Cut ceiling diagnosis for leak. Replace three-quarter inch PRV with psi exceeding 110. Found water damage underneath master shower. Leak is not on portable water system. Leak is shower pan failure. Connected customer with mitigation company.
Came out for what sounded like mainline blockage. Arrived and found main floor toilet had overflowed out the bowl and flooded down to the basement. Homeowner approved us to pull toilet and camera/snake sewer line, as there was no outside cleanout. Pulled main floor powder room toilet and ran camera. Located blockage 4’ deep under brick front porch. Ran sewer machine down line and snaked out blockage. Found break in the sewer line with a large root intrusion. Cut hole in the bottom of the roots and restored flow to the line. Homeowner found out HOA is responsible for any issue outside the home. There used to be a large tree in front of the home that was the culprit. HOA cut down all of the trees in the neighborhood as this has happened numerous times. Left quote to jackhammer/cut out brick front porch and do sewer repair. Also left quote for water heater. No warranty on sewer cleaning services. Notified homeowner not to flush paper until HOA can repair sewer line as it WILL back up agai
Homeowner states that about a week or so ago he could smell sewage in the basement and first floor but didn’t know where it was coming from and today he checked the closet under the stairs in basement and found the cause of the odor the sewage pump failed. He could see water coming up and called us out to resolve the issue. Upon arrival I greeted homeowner and he should me to the basement and asked if it could be fixed but didn’t know the age of pump or anything else. I explained that we could pull and attempted to reset it but it wasn’t warranty if it worked and a day later it didn’t work and I suggested replacing along with a few other things that I found such as main water ball valve shut off, expansion tank with mounting bracket and GWH shut off which there isn’t one and the sewage pump. Homeowner opted to only replace the sewage pump which I began by putting together the new one in my van putting the 2 inch male adapter gluing in the pipe and adding the weep hole on the discharge
Customer stated that the toilet was leaking. Found toilet leaking from base of toilet and recommended customer for a reset of toilet. Customer agreed so I went ahead and pulled toilet. Installed new wax seal and reset toilet. Tested and no leaks were present at this time. Flange was sitting a little low so if it starts leaking from base again, we need to fix flange. Caulked around base of toilet and cleaned up work area.
Gave customer estimate for plumbing repairs needed, and at this time customer didn’t want to proceed with any repairs.
3 handle shower valve leaking non stop. Gave various options to rebuild/replace. Customer who called us is the tenant and not the homeowner. Job Will require removing the stems and taking them to supply house to try and match them with a rebuild kit. Only specific supply houses even have rebuild kits available as these style shower valves are very old and no liner to code. Original manufacturers do not make the repair parts anymore. Have to find third party manufacturer rebuild kits.
Customer stated that toilet wasn’t working properly and also that both lavatory faucets in master and in the Jack and Jill bathroom sinks pop-ups weren’t working. Recommended customer to have toilet rebuild and have all pop-up assemblies replaced. Customer agreed to apply so went ahead and furnish and install for new pop-up assemblies and tested. All test tested fine and no leaks were present at this time. For toilet install installed new fill valve and flapper with new supply line. Tested and now toilet is working as it should no weeks are present at this time. Also, customer stated that laboratory faucet in master bedroom was dripping. We need to order cartridges and return on a later date to install them. Will send an estimate to do so.
