Client called us out due to a low pressure issue at the home after the city made a repair at his meter on the main. Client has galvanized main water line still. The issue is either with the pressure regulator or the main water line. Gave estimate. Collected SF.
Ordered and Supplied two replacement filters for the whole house inline filter. Replaced filter with one of the filters we purchased. Left other filter for next years replacement. Flushed air out of the line and ensured normal flow from the fixture after filter had been replaced. No further issue.
Customer had to water to the home. This was due to stuck Cpvc shutoffs. Replaced prv and whole house shutoff. Recommended heater replacement since the intent is to sell the home. Heater was from 2004 and would be flagged during the inspection. Replaced heater with a new shutoff, thermal expansion tank, and drip pan. Tested all work to ensure proper function and no leaks.
For this customer, they need a new faucet, the faucet is from ikea and I can’t source parts for it, so therefore I recommend to replaced the faucet. Customer doesn’t have an individual shut off valve, so I wasn’t able to check pressure and the water heater was in a closet with items in the way. I recommend to replace the faucet with a Moen or delta single hole, single handle faucet.
Shut off gas to home and Move gas line for stove to sit flush with wall. ** Water heater is old and Chen plumbing won’t be responsible for relighting** Customer stated that they needed gas line moved in order for stove to sit flush with wall. Went ahead and shut off gas to home and reworked gas line coming up to stove. Turn gas back on and tested for leaks. Didn’t notice any gas leaks at this time. Also tested stove and stove is working properly. Now stove isn’t sitting flush to wall because of plug for outlet. Stated to customer that an electrician will have to be called out to get that corrected. Once again, test for gas leaks, and none were present. Cleaned up work area.
Will add $35 on next visit for reschedule credit. Going to order two filters and then return to install 1
Customer had leak coming from tee for irrigation head. Customer wanted line capped. Unable to find irrigation valve. Found gate valve behind main meter box. Capped line and waited for glue to dry. Checked for leaks and backfilled hole. After turning on water found meter still slowly spinning. Found irrigation head leaking. Customer has irrigation company coming to address issues Explain to customer about active leak.
Customer noticed high water bill and had us come out to review issue. Found customer had water service leak on 1 inch polyethylene piping. Found leak to be located at stub out. Dug down to piping, in order to make repair had to run new piece through existing penetration and reconnect inside in the basement of house. After making repair turned on water to check for leaks and proper function then backfilled hole to rough grade. Water visible on driveway is coming from neighbors water service leak. Will be returning tomorrow to install flow by moen and valve for house. Also gave quotes for other items of work.
Water line leak upon arrival. Customer stated he noticed water coming from both sides of the driveway and from the crack in the middle of the driveway. After digging by the shutoff noticed pvc piping in the ground. Informed customer the leak was most likely under the driveway and we would need to bust the concrete up to find it and repair it. Also gave customer option to replace the entire line including the inside piping that was necessary to connect back to the PRV.
For this customer, their hot side knob started to come off needed to be re-tightened however it was a special three handle design and it wasn’t just the screw was the issue so therefore they did a basic troubleshoot to figure out why I was doing it and figure out tighten everything back together Once complete no leaks. CUSTOMER is all set to use their tub shower combo as they wish. Water pressure is inaccurate. Their water heater is from 2014. It’s gonna need to be replaced at some point. No further issues at this moment customer paid via check.
This is warranty call for fix the leak in crawl space under the toilet, tighten 3” fernoco fitting
Customer stated that there was a leak coming from bathroom upstairs into bedroom down below. Went upstairs to bathroom and found that shower valve cover plate wasn’t properly secure to shower valve and also was missing a piece. Also noticed that hole cut for shower valve was too big for trim to cover, which may allow water to go through. Attempted to tying down, screws for cover plate, but shower valve is crossed threaded. Recommended to customer to have shower valve replaced. To get access to shower valve will either a have to remove vanity or be cut out a section of tile. Will send an estimates to do so. Also gave customer referral for drywall. Wasn’t able to put cover plate back onto the shower because of the stripped shower valve. Stated customer to best use a different shower in the house. If any work is completed within the next 30 days, there will still be a $55 credit
Customer stated that he wanted quote to replace both water heaters. Will send customer quotes for water heater replacements.
Came out to this customers house to diagnose a dripping faucet the customer ordered a new shower body valve from Amazon to be installed in one of the showers. We are happy to install customer supplied parts, but I also gave him an estimate if we were to supply a moment and or a delta for it to be installed The customer just for right now wanted an estimate on getting it replaced either. He supplying it or if we supply, it provided both estimates check the water pressure to see if it had any factor in it as well. This time it does not look like it has any factor to it being related in terms of water pressure at this time. It is just an estimate no further action is taken.
Call for water leaking from shower panel. Arrived and inspected unit. Water was on when I arrived, no leak present. I tested all the functions and features in all combinations available to attempt to replicate leak. I ran water from shower head for nearly ten minutes. I manipulated the shower handle to see if the housing could be fractured or defective, leaking only during use. I tested with unit off of wall, and on wall. I called Amanda, the assistant of Mr. Syed, and asked if there was a certain combination of settings I could stress test. I tested functions with the knobs halfway between features. Tested with water on, but features off. With the exception of turning the hand held spray directly at the seam between the unit and wall, I was unable to see any kind of water escape. If problem occurs again. Please annotate which settings were on, approximately how long the shower was running, and at what time. It seems likely that the shower panel may have a defect or some kind of man
