Matt was very fast, thoughtful and helpful. Our water heater burst back in November. We called Chen and they were able to send out Matt pretty fast. He drained the water out so we can have hot water same day and replaced the heater the next day, which we really appreciate since winter was coming. He also explained everything clearly when we have questions after the service about the new pressure valve, and we paid very reasonable price for everything. Our water heater is working really well! I will recommend him to anyone!

Ran flex shaft and Hydro Jetter from roof vent for majority of day. Finally got line to alleviate after removing immense amount of grease buildup. Ran hot water throughout all fixtures in the home to flush out system for any remaining debris.
Customer stated that he needed to locate gas grill shut off on back porch and also install new drop in stove range. Located shut off for gas grill and shut it off. Removed old stove range and found that new stove range won’t fit in existing hole. Customer will need to find someone the cut out granite so we can return and install the stove range. Cleaned up work area.
Came out for back up. Arrived and met with homeowner. He stated both downstairs toilets were not flushing. He also said there was a spot in the yard that kept getting wet and drying back up. Could not locate a cleanout so we got approval to pull toilet and run camera. Found no blockage but found a root intrusion happening under the walkway in the front of the house. Received approval for repairs, customer wanted same day. Went and got materials and excavator. Came back and cut out section of walkway and hauled off concrete. Dug down to pipe and found the break in the pipe. Located cleanout coming off a branch line under the sidewalk. Customer did not like the location of the old cleanout so we abandoned it and installed a new two way cleanout in the flower bed. Piped in new section of pipe and tested to ensure a leak free install. Backfilled and cleaned up before leaving. No further issue at this time. 1 year warranty on repair section only.
Diagnosed customer issues at home. Hans Grove he shower system leaking from valve cartridge and through shower head. Pressure was exceeding 80 psi on system. Thermal expansion tank air bladder still intact and functioning. Shut down water to home and replace three-quarter inch watts PRV on copper system. Did not extract cartridge from valve wall water was off due to gasket damage. If extracted, putting in damage gasket may not create proper seal. Took several pictures, externally of shower cartridge for identification. If customer continues to experience issue after pressure has been reduced Chen plumbing will order replacement parts once estimate approved by customer.
6/5/25: Customer called for water seeping into basement area called foundation, company foundation company referred us to come take a look as water was coming out to Seward penetration, found mainline for house to be stopped up cannot get any equipment through line line had separated from foundation wall to mainline, inform customer the next step would be to dig up area to patch line and then run equipment to clear line. 6/6/25: after digging, we found line to be stopped up, attempted to pump out water however, too much water was filling in the hole, popped manhole and found county Main backed up as well informed customer the next step would be to call County and have them unstop their line, customer called county county came out and unstop their line after county unstoped their line we pumped water down and found pipe had broken due to settling of dirt, Attempted to camera line. However, we could not camera very far due to dirt and debris in line. Inform customer next step would be to
Upon arrival customer stated he has a list of stuff he wanted done. Customer wanted a new gas line ran outside for grill. Customer also wanted two customer supplied toilets and fixing the flange of down stairs toilet. Customer also wanted water shut off and prv moved with the existing whole house filter. Customer wanted drain line for tub moved and shower valve cut and capped and shower head moved up. Gave customer estimate. Customer only approved estimate to run gas line for grill. Turned gas off and cut into the meter and add tee. From the tee I added a cut off valve and ran track pipe 25 feet and strapped it tho the side of the home. Also added cut off valve where it stubs up to connect to grill. Tested all systems and all systems working properly with no issues or leaks.

Upon arrival found that water heater had ruptured and leaked into the basement. Checked house pressure to determine if high pressure was also an underlying cause, besides the age and condition of the heater. Found the house pressure to be high at 110 psi. Replace the heater with a new thermal expansion tank, shutoff, and pan. Cut out the old prv and put straight pipe back. Installed new prv with a new shutoff closer to the door and dropped it a little for easier access. Once heater was in found two leaking solder joints. Repaired the solder joints as a courtesy. Recommended replacing the copper from the tees. Attached a quote for copper piping repairs and to install a mop sink in basement with under sink pump with a new washing machine box for a stacked washer/dryer to be installed. Tested work to ensure proper function and no leaks, none were found.
Replaced garbage disposal underneath kitchen sink and gave estimate for replacement of water heaters that are 17 and 22 years old.
Diagnose customer pressure issues in home. Replace three-quarter inch watts PRV in basement ceiling. Adjusted scald guard on Delta single-handed shower faucet for dog washing station. Advise customer of building pressure issues persist with upstairs bathroom to replace cartridge.
Roughed in two shower valves and tested to ensure leak free install.
Customer stated that there was a leak on kitchen faucet and was leaking into basement. Found leak on supply line that’s connected to the faucet side and recommended to customer to have faucet replaced. Will send estimate to install customer provided kitchen faucet. Also water heater is from 2009 and recommend to have it replaced before it leaks. Will also send estimate for water heater replacement. Will credit back $49.
