Customer has no hot water: * Check boiler at arrival * The boiler and circulator pumps are all off * Check the zone valve for domestic hot water- Zone valve is Closed * Confirm that valve is getting 24 V from aquastat at both yellow wires * the zone valve it’s tucked closed with a call for heat * removed Actuator and exercise valve- Reinstalled and tested- The boiler did not fire * Had to manually push the zone valve open to close the end switch and fire the boiler * The boiler is fired for domestic hot water, and the circulator pump is on and running to satisfy the indirect tank * Explain all findings to customer and state that he needs to move forward with the recommendations in order to have hot water. * Once the tank is satisfied There is a good chance at the The same problem will happen The customer stated that he approved the repairs and I got his signature stating so- He would like to move forward with these repairs as as soon as possible as he will be without hot water again
