Today I arrived on site to address issues with the 1st floor furnace. Initial Assessment: Confirmed the 1st floor heating & AC system was not working. Identified a loud noise originating from the unit. Diagnosis: Determined the inducer motor was not functioning correctly. Concluded the inducer motor needs replacement. Action Taken: Shut down the system due to the faulty inducer motor. Upon arriving at the property, the client explained to me that the unit on the 1st floor makes a noise when it starts at first then it stops making noises. I proceeded to check the unit, I found the furnace off. I told the customer to turn on the unit. The unit started. I immediately found the motor inductor locked, I tried to soften the inductor's impel. The unit started. Some time later it began to make noise.
