Homeowner states she bought a new gas stove and had it delivered today but the installers refused to connect the new gas stove due to the old shut off not working properly and she called us to come and fix the issue. Upon arrival I was greeted by homeowner at door and she explained the situation and asked if we could replace the gas shut off. I did my inspection and didn’t find anything else wrong and offered homeowner different solutions and she agreed to have me replace the shut off install the new flex hose and install the gas stove. I began by removing the old gas shut off and installing a 3/4 gas ball valve and then reduced it to 1/2 pipe and installed the flex hose. Once the flex hose was installed I moved the new gas stove in place and connected the gas hose and purged out the air. Once it was properly connected I checked for leaks which non were found and ran the stove until it turned on. Homeowner is satisfied with the service provided.
