returned and replaced tub spout that was sticking too far out of the wall and allowing water behind the wall. Removed the old spout, cut the pipe back, and installed a new tub spout. Since customer is leaving the old valve for now, installed a new spout with a diverter for secondary water diversion option for shower water. Tested work to ensure proper function and no leaks. None were found. Made customer aware that the caulk needs 24 hours to dry before getting wet. Also made customer aware that straightening the offset of the valve coming out of the wall isn’t possible without replacement other wise we risk leaks in the old valve or cpvc piping.
