Call for no hot water. Arrived and spoke with Eric. Hot water stopped working yesterday. After diagnosing and attempting repairs, we found a defective/failed part. The part is unavailable locally and must be shipped. Diagnostic notes: Cut condensate drain line to ensure no blockage. Cleaned debris port. Air intake free of blockage and debris. Concentric vent is installed correctly and functioning normally. Water pressure good at 50 psi on a weekday at ~930am. Removed cover. No signs of distress or deterioration. Moderate amount of dust. Air intake intake filter had some debris, but not enough to cause an issue. Removed intake motor and disassembled. No blockage or debris present. Air butterfly valve is difficult to turn. When testing, butterfly valve makes grinding noise and does not cycle. Contacted Rinnai support and they also isolated the failure to this component. Contacted all available plumbing supply houses.
